Acoustic Cinema
Stefan Geiger is passionate about film music. His favourite movies are the great sci-fi and fantasy classics such as Star Wars, Interstellar, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. On a day like today, when he can be found in front of an orchestra holding a baton, you can be certain he is about to immerse his audience in the cinematic soundtracks of Hollywood. If the orchestra in question happens to be his colleagues from the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, then he also has the full support of the best musical movie stars he could wish for. As it happens, Stefan Geiger is not only a conductor and chairman of the German GameMusic Awards jury, he is also principal trombone of the NDR. As a member of the resident ensemble here at the “Elphi”, Stefan is very familiar with the hall’s crystal-clear acoustics and is sure to conjure up a similarly magical sound at the Glocke in Bremen. Enjoy an amazing evening of film music as you are teleported into the colourful world of motion pictures!
